At Walmart, checks $1,000.01 to $7,500 can be verified automatically and cashed for $8. Cashing a check less than $1,000 costs $4.

The check limit at Walmart in Connecticut is $2,500 and in Florida the check limit is $2,000. Check cashing available at participating Walmart stores through April 30th.
